Does your car have a name? 2 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 2
As many of you know my LeBaron is named Ervil. Living in Utah, I figured it was only fitting to name my car after a famous polygamist. Even though I am not a polygamist, my car is definitely a babe magnet.

Does your car have a name?

PS: Speaking of car names, I found an interesting yet slightly unrelated article here: http://www.forbes.com/2004/07/12/cx_dl_0712feat.html

No, I have never thought of giving my car a name. I simply call it "Saratoga" which is the model name for "LeBaron Sedan" in Europe.
But I must admit that altough I did not give it a name, it has a very strong personality and expression which one cannot find on the newer "plastic-bombers". That's the reason why I think it will become a real classic

Best regards,
Matt

No, I was toying with VonRichtofen because it is a Baron and flies, my department manager thinks I ought to call it Gypsy Rose because it can be topless. Matt, it is interesting that Chrysler uses the Saratoga name in Europe, it was a big rear wheel drive Chrysler in this country. I am sure there is a reason for it just like Ford selling Mustangs as a T5 and Jaguar dropping the SS designation on their cars. Volvo sold their sports model in Europe as Amazon, in the US it was simply a P1800

yes my 95 convert is called big red and the 87 convert is call ol' red the 95 is just like new. i got it 3 years ago and the previous owner treated it like a baby. the dealer told me it was one of the nicest cars he has seen in a long time for being a 95 and 11 years old. now the car is completely babies and only sees maybe 500 miles a year or less.
the 87 is the Indy pace car model and it is leather and all power with a digital dash. i don't know if I'm going to like that part yet. it came to me last fall and has 131k on it but the other owner told me he rebuilt the engine and trans 20k earlier, can't prove it but the trans fluid is clean as a whistle and the bolts look like the have been wrenched on before.

the 95 has 60k on it and last spring i went under it to check it over and i has absolutely zero leaks and not one oil stain or spot. the plenum is like new now aged like they get. the only place that shows any rust is the rear axle beam. and i have a new pt cruiser that has more rust on that axle beam then the 95 lebaron.

the 87 did show a few rust spots but i a few years i plan on replacing the carpet and repainting it so it will get the 3 rust spots repaired by them.

I found myself listening to Magic Carpet Ride a lot when the top was down, and went with the geeky name of Phoenix taken from the first warp space ship in Star Trek.
